Positive Business Development in 2015

London, 03.02.2016

After the Association of Office Furniture, Seating and Non-Domestic Furniture (Verband Büro-, Sitz- und Objektmöbel bso) reported 7.7 per cent turnover growth in the first half of 2015, industry experts expect figures for the second half year to be even more positive. Assmann, the Melle-based furniture manufacturer, reports turnover growth of more than 15 per cent on the previous financial year. "In 2015 we achieved turnover of more than 97.5 million euros– our best turnover since the introduction of the euro," said delighted Dirk Assmann, Managing Partner.

Aside from a vibrant economic position and very good year-end business, the company owner also attributes this success to the ongoing improvement of internal processes and its own increase in sales strength in partnership with specialist retailers. Looking back on the previous business year, other particular highlights for Assmann have been the Red Dot Design Award for the Applica programme and two awards in the "Grand Prix of medium-sized Companies" competition. Shortly before Christmas, Creditreform then affirmed the company's very healthy balance structure for the third time in a row with an excellent credit rating. "Despite these achievements, we have no intention of resting on our laurels: in the coming year we will be working on further improvements and process optimisations, in keeping with the Kaizen concept," promises Dirk Assmann. Projects for 2016/2017 were already initiated last year. The financial power of the company allows investment of several million euros in modernising production, optimising IT processes and a new administrative building for the sales and sales-related areas.
